FireWire Port Isolator
This cable a normal 9pin FireWire cable, but has had a little internal snipping!  We've not connected the power wire so that you can plug in FireWire devices without fear of blowing them.  This cable does not pass bus power.

Why would I need this?
This is used to protect a FireWire 800 device. from bus power overflow.  We've also had people use it to find shorts that they think are there.  It's a very handy tool to have around.

Compatible with FireWire 800
it doesn't matter what brand, make or model your FireWire device is, as long as it's a standard 9pin, it works.
