FireWire Port Isolator
This cable a normal 6pin FireWire cable, but has had a little internal snipping!  We've not connected the power wires so that you can plug in FireWire devices without fear of blowing them.  This cable does not pass bus power.

Why would I need this?
This is used to protect a FireWire device. from bus power overflow, or an accidental reversal of polarity, which is easy to do on the 6pin FireWire connector.

Compatible with FireWire devices
it doesn't matter what brand, make or model your FireWire device is, as long as it's a standard 6pin, it works.
