Description
Connect a Hard Drive or CD ROM to your USB port
This adapter is the advanced version of our popular USB 2.0 to IDE Bridge
Kit, because it includes the ability to connect any IDE or SATA drive without
installing it inside the computer.
What all does it connect?
USB Drive Bridge for IDE/SATA connects to the most common drive types:
- 3.5" SATA
- 3.5" IDE/PATA
- 2.5" (notebook) SATA
- 2.5" (notebook) IDE/PATA
It connects via USB2 to your computer,
allowing you to access the drive and contents.
A low cost way to connect your drives
Our bridge has two options for power: the included AC adapter or you can
also use a 4-wire connector from the desktop computer's power supply, if
it's more handy.
Status Lights
A power status LED verifies that the unit is switched on or off. Another
LED indicates that the the bridge is accessing the drive, and another
confirms that a valid USB connection is established.

High Speed USB 2.0 Technology
We've incorporated the same high speed technology as in our other USB 2.0
bridges. That means, up to 480Mbps transfer rate. And,
remember, FireWire (ieee1394a) is only rated at a maximum of 400Mbps.

It is working
GREAT! I was skeptical that it would work; it just seemed too good
to be true, but I am trying to get data off of my boss' laptop hard
drive that got hit by lightning when he was dialed-in from home and
was ready to try anything. The laptop won't boot. When I plug the
fried laptop into the power outlet I start to smell an electric
smoke smell! This should put a nice feather in my hat. I will look
over the documentation and send you my suggestions. Thanks again.
