USB 3.0 Panel Mount Extension
This is a panel mount USB 3.0 Extension cable. We custom built this cable so that you can get your device into production today without the hassle, lead time or expense of a custom cable.
Thick gold plated contacts
USB 3 now has 9 separate contact points, many of which are smaller in size that the older USB 2 spec. Because of this, we've decided to upgrade to 30 micron gold contacts. We've found that it helps to make sure things have a good solid connection, even when using an inferior or well used cable. If you're designing a device that you need it to have a reliable connection, look at our products. All USB 3.0 items from us use this same 30 micron thick plating.

Embedded 4-40 nuts
Rather than have your production team mess with separated nuts and screws, we've embedded the nuts into thick ears. This not only makes for a very easy installation, but the thicker 'ear' also makes it tougher to strip out the nut when they're slightly over-torqued during production.
